Radon Assessments

Radon is the natural result of the radioactive breakdown of uranium in soil, rock, and water. Radon can rise into any type of building, impacting the air we breathe. High levels of radon can ultimately lead to respiratory health problems and potentially lung cancer. For this reason, the EPA recommends an action level of 4 pCi/L for indoor radon levels.

QUEST is certified by the AARST-NRPP as a measurement Provider and has provided large scale radon testing for school districts, commercial buildings, apartment complexes, and residential communities. Short-term or long-term testing is available on large and small scales.

In Colorado, all daycare facilities and preschools must be tested for radon. QUEST can walk you through the guidelines, sampling, and remediation process and even help prepare parent and staff awareness communications. Contact QUEST to request sampling, or review the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment’s radon pages for more information.
