Larry Head, CEO

Larry has over 30 years of experience as an executive, project manager & chemical engineer in the environmental & energy markets, working on projects in the Americas, Asia, Europe, Africa & the Middle East working for AECOM, Stanley Consultants, Gannett Fleming & DuPont.  Executive Experience managing P&Ls up to $100M, business development >$1B projects, & member of the board of directors for multiple companies.

Bob Woellner, President

Bob specializes in indoor air quality, industrial hygiene, scientific and environmental investigative protocols, and environmental assessments.  He has qualified as an industrial hygienist since 1990, is a full member of the American Industrial Hygiene Association and Rocky Mountain Section, is certified as a meth consultant and instructor by the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment, is a residential measurement provider by the American Association of Radon Scientists and Technologists through their National Radon Proficiency Program, and has obtained his OSHA HAZWOPER certification. He lectures and publishes extensively, including his co-authored book International Environmental Risk Management: ISO 14000 and the Systems Approach. He has qualified and served in numerous jurisdictions as an expert in industrial hygiene, environmental monitoring, microflora/mold, meth, indoor air quality, environmental sampling, and risk management, for dozens of environmental contamination cases. Bob has a Bachelor’s degree in geology from Middlebury College and a Master of Science degree in Marine Geology and Geophysics from the Rosensteil School of Marine & Atmospheric Science.

Anatole Tony Konowal, Project Manager

Tony has a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology with Chemistry minor from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Master of Science degree in Environmental Sciences from the University of Colorado at Denver.  Tony’s undergraduate course work and research focused on identification and pathogenicity of micro-organisms. While in graduate school, Tony gained specialized training in environmental and occupational health. Tony’s duties as Project Manager include conducting industrial hygiene and mold assessments, site investigations and development of recommended scopes of work, final clearance inspections, and litigation support services. In addition, Tony has experience conducting and writing Phase I environmental site assessments for real estate owners, buyers and sellers, law firms, and third party consultants. In 2012, Tony received his 40 hour HAZWOPER certification and is certified by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment to conduct meth assessments.

Beth Boatright, Technical Writer

Besides drafting and editing reports, Beth also conducts background research on a wide variety of topics to support QUEST’s investigative work. She earned a master’s degree in English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and was a member of the International Doctoral Program in Foreign Languages and Literature at the National Sun Yat-Sen University in Taiwan.

Les Puvathingal, Industrial Hygienist

After graduating from Purdue University in 2003 with a BS in Wildlife Conservation and Environmental Science, Les achieved a strong academic record and developed robust interpersonal skills and problem-solving abilities through his vast work experience. Les also expanded his knowledge beyond the classroom through membership in the Wildlife Society, as he became a certified Wildland Fire Fighter, and worked as an EMT. He has also worked in the Upper Peninsula Michigan developing wildlife techniques and working as a Forestry Field Technician.  Over the past decade he has worked in Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, and Washington working in the Building Science Department specializing in asbestos, indoor air quality, legionella projects, mold, sick building syndrome, and RCRA projects. The flexibility in his career allowed him to work in hospitals, schools, public and private sectors, as well as government contracts.  Les always feels confident working in a group or independent atmosphere.

Katherine Chalker, Administrative Assistant

Katie has recently relocated to Colorado with her husband, both central New York natives.  She is a graduate of SUNY Cortland with a BS in Psychology and was a Legal Assistant in her home state.  Katie helps to support the staff at Quest and on her off days, explore Colorado!
